How Footprint Relates to the Real World

At the most basic level, Footprint is designed to replicate your real live warehouse in the virtual world. This means each and every part of your warehouse - each storage location, dock door, staging location, freezer, whatever - everything is represented in the Footprint Warehouse. The Warehouse Management module is where you set your Warehouse up, and prepare for your inventory tracking.

The inventory in your warehouse is the reason you got Footprint - you need to know what you have, where it is, where it has been, and where it will be. Within the Warehouse Management module, you will find tools for locating specific pieces of inventory in your warehouse, taking stock of all the inventory in any given area of your Warehouse, and so on.

Any inventory move you make in your Warehouse is tracked in Footprint, making sure all information is up to date. Set up Move Tasks to be executed by staff, and even schedule Replenishments in whatever Warehouse Locations you'd like to ensure you are all stocked up with whatever you may need.

Unique types of inventory in your warehouse are represented by Materials in Footprint. In the Material Management module, you are given full control over the types of Materials you have, the way they are grouped, who owns said Materials, how they are packaged (including their dimensions and weight), and more.

Your Inbound Operations are covered by Footprint's Operations Management module. Set up Orders. Receive new Inventory into your Warehouse,, Putaway the Inventory to their storage Locations.

Sending inventory out of your warehouse is also covered by the Operation Management module. Set up Orders, Pick, Pack, and Load the Inventory for a Shipment. Even manage groups of Orders with the Master Order function.

Mobile Devices are integrated into Footprint, playing an integral part in the system. A completely separate Mobile Client is used by Mobile Devices to communicate directly with the Footprint Database, allowing for mobilized updates to the data in your system, and information at the push of a button.

Footprint's Shipping Management module takes care of any carrier and shipping decision-making you need, automatically pulling and comparing the best rates from all the carriers you're considering, and communicating directly with carriers to place orders.

Your warehouse involved in manufacturing? We've got that covered by our Manufacturing module. This flexible tool allows you to orchestrate and complete Manufacturing Orders, leaving traceable histories with all your finished goods, be they technology, foods, furniture, or whatever else you may be putting together.

Cycle counts (or Physical Counts, as they are called in Footprint) can be set up, regularly scheduled, and executed with the assistance of Footprint, allowing you to ensure your inventory is where you expect it to be.

Footprint allows you to keep track of individual charges and work done for your customers through one-off Accessorial Charges and full-blown Work Orders. Whether you're charging for shrink-wrapping, inventory inspections, or whatever else you can possibly think of, Footprint has it covered.

Footprint's exhaustive Reporting provides you with real-time information about your warehouse and operations, down to every last piece of inventory. Customizable Reports give you (and your customers) only the information you want, and how you want it organized.

The Yard Management module provides you with complete planning control over your Dock Doors, ensuring deliveries are made when and where you want them, and keeping track of driver information (names, licenses, etc.) truck information (weights, tags, etc.). With a visual layout that updates in real time, you will never have a scheduling crisis again.

The Operations Management module includes a specific Transload Order for managing transloads (or cross docking, if you prefer).
